Thirsty for Prayer
Feeding Our Connection
It has been a minute since I have shared words here on this platform. I have been noticing my own hesitations to write when so many words have been wanting to be shared and spoken so loudly. This tends to get louder as the elections come nearer. There are some important messages to be read, heard, and expressed, and I want to make way for them.
I have noticed my own resistance come on as this platform shifts from writers sharing their creative flows to marketing pitches, steps to success, or a path of needed and pushed productivity. My own creativity has never been fed from a place of productivity.
I do not write to convince, market, or broadcast. My writing has always been a process of integration, understanding, and perhaps weaving together more meaning in life. As I express the stories, visions, dreams experienced, raw, real, and vulnerable, my hope is that in your own humanness, you too can connect to a piece of it, leaving us each a bit less alone.
To each of you that have been supporting my work, reading my words, sharing your own experiences, I am so grateful. Thank you.
The piece I am sharing today was decades, years, months in the making. Solidified in crystal form under the high tunneled roof line and amid the heat of the greenhouse. The reflection is on honoring where we come from, the land the carries us, and those who tend and care for the lands. I am ever grateful for being able to live a life on this sacred gem of an Earth, and to have children learning to tend with care. May this be a gentle reminder to crave your own thirst with reverence to the waters that made you.
with love,
Genell
